DEPUTY COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

Carly Smith serves as Deputy Communications Manager, helping candidates and organizations communicate with clarity, consistency, and impact. She supports clients through strategic messaging, media relations, content development, and digital communications, ensuring their stories resonate across traditional and digital platforms. With experience spanning campaigns, legislative communications, and political organizations, Carly brings a creative, detail-oriented approach to every project.

Before joining JLK, Carly led communications and social media for the Georgia Republican Senatorial Committee, where she managed messaging, developed content strategies, and produced press materials and digital content for candidates and elected officials. She also worked on several high-profile political campaigns and interned at The Heritage Foundation, gaining experience in both campaign and policy communications. Originally from LaFayette, Georgia, Carly earned her degree in Political Science from Shorter University. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, pilates, and spending time with her friends.
